Effective 03/11/2026. Last updated 03/11/2026. Chartsmith - Charts for Confluence with Jira Data ("Chartsmith", "the app") is provided by Wattlebrooks Apps, Australia, through the Atlassian Marketplace.

The short version

• Chartsmith keeps no copy of your Jira data. It has no database and no app storage.
• Everything stays inside Atlassian. Nothing is sent to outside servers or third parties.
• Each person only ever sees Jira data they could already see in Jira.
• Wattlebrooks Apps cannot access your site's data, and we never sell or share it.

Data the app reads

• Jira work items that match a chart's search, and the field values used to group and count them.
• Jira projects, saved filters, project categories and field names, so the editor can offer them in its pickers and autocomplete.
• Display names for user fields such as Assignee, so they can label chart groups.

The app reads Jira as the person using it, after that person's one-time Allow access, so nobody sees a work item they couldn't already open in Jira. Data is read when a chart is shown and is used only to draw that chart.

Data the app stores

None. Chartsmith has no database, no app storage and no cache of Jira data. A chart's settings (source, chart type, grouping, colors and display options) are saved by Confluence with the page itself, like any other page content, and are covered by your Atlassian agreement.

Changes the app makes

Chartsmith never changes anything in Jira; its Jira access is read-only. In Confluence it only saves a chart's own settings, when the person editing the page chooses Save chart.

What we do not do

• We do not send data to outside servers or third parties.
• We do not use cookies, analytics, tracking or AI in the app.
• We do not collect IP addresses, location or usage telemetry.
• We do not sell or share data.

Retention and deletion

There is no app data to retain. Removing a chart macro from a page removes its settings. Uninstalling the app leaves nothing of the app's behind beyond chart macros still on your pages, which you can delete at any time. Each person can revoke the app's Jira access from their Atlassian account's connected apps page.

Your rights

Because Chartsmith stores no personal data, there is nothing for us to export or delete. For GDPR, CCPA or similar questions, contact us and we will help.

Children

Chartsmith is a business tool and is not intended for people under 18.
